Hibs are set to join Aberdeen in the race to sign Go Ahead Eagles defender Jay Idzes, according to reports.
The Dons had previously looked to bring the 22-year-old to Pittodrie in January before the departure of Jim Goodwin scuppered their plans with the Irishman sacked after a 6-0 defeat at Easter Road. Lee Johnson now looks to swerve in front and bring the Dutchman to Edinburgh as he prepares his next scouting mission, writes the Daily Record.
Barry Robson's appointment as permanent Dons boss has allowed the club to start building their summer shopping list, but Johnson is reportedly keen on signing Idzes and is planning to have him watched when the Eredivise side take on Feyenoord at De Kuip on Sunday, May 14.
