FC Edinburgh have completed the signing of Hibs hero Liam Fontaine ahead of the new season.
It's been busy period for the club as they prepare to head back to Meadowbank alongside a name change following promotion from League Two into League One. Manager Alan Maybury has captured players such as former Hamilton left-back Kieran MacDonald and now has agreed terms to bring 36-year-old Fontaine to the club.
A defender who started his career at Fulham before an almost 300-game stint at Bristol City, Fontaine won the Championship and Scottish Cup during four years at Hibs, leaving in 2018. He was with Dundee in the Premiership last season and says Edinburgh provide him with an exciting challenge in the twilight of his career. He said: "It's been a long thought out decision of mine but I need to thank Alan for his patience with getting this done.

"He knew I had a lot to consider, including options away from the UK. But even after our first meeting over coffee the plans laid out to me and how he wants to work and what he is aiming to bring to the club this season.
"It was intriguing for me, especially at this stage of my career. As the experience I can bring to this dressing room can hopefully influence and help younger players to improve on and off the pitch.
