Hibs' Player of the Year awards in full as Ryan Porteous among big prize winners

Chris Cadden was named Hibernian Player of the Year on Sunday night as the Edinburgh side brought down the curtain on their season.

The capital club finished off the Scottish Premiership campaign on a high as they hammered relegation-threatened St Johnstone 4-0 in front of the Easter Road faithful.

James Scott fired home a hat-trick to end what has been a difficult season for the Hibees in style.

It was then over to the the Edinburgh International Conference Centre as Hibs handed out their own club awards.

Former Motherwell star Cadden was the big winner on the night as he landed the top individual award after a solid season.

Fans' favourite and defensive stalwart Ryan Porteous was also honoured after he landed the Young Player of the Year gong.

Jake Doyle-Hayes' stunner against Ross County was named the Goal of the Season while Murray Aitken picked up the Academy Player of the Year award.

Lewis Stevenson was voted by his fellow team-mates as the Players' Player of the Year with Ellis Notley named Hibernian Women Player of the Year.

Hibs finished the Premiership season in eighth spot after their final day win over St Johnstone.

Paul McGinn opened the scoring before Scott netted a second-half treble.

It's set to be a busy couple of weeks with the search for a new manager still continuing.

David Gray - who has put in interim charge following Shaun Maloney's sacking - has admitted he is desperate to stay at the club.

He said: “[My future] will be decided by the new manager and the direction the club wants to go in.

“Myself and Eddie [May] were asked to do a job until the end of the season which is now done.

“I’m comfortable with the situation in terms of where I want to be.

"I love working for the club, I really care about it so given the opportunity I would be desperate to stay.”
