Lee Johnson has outlined Marijan Čabraja key attributes after Hibs wasted no time in securing a replacement for Josh Doig.
The Croatian left-back put pen to paper on a three-year deal from Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee just hours after Doig's switch to Hellas Verona in a £3million transfer was confirmed. Last season the new signing spent time on loan with Ferencváros and Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia. During his time in Hungary, he featured in the Europa League against the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Real Betis.
The versatile defender has been capped for his country from Under-14 to U-21 level and his new boss has highlighted his main strengths following his arrival at Easter Road. Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Marijan to Hibernian FC and look forward to working with him.

“He has history of playing at a very high level and is the perfect age to add to our group.
“He’s athletic, a really technical left-back who has quality on the ball through his delivery and distribution. He will add strength to our group.”
Speaking about the new Hibs No3, Head of Recruitment, Ian Gordon, added: “Squad planning is always at the forefront of our minds and knowing there’s been interest in Josh Doig for a prolonged period, Marijan is someone we’ve been looking at very closely.
“He has experience of playing European football, has good pedigree, and is someone we believe can hit the ground running straight away.”
