Hezbollah announced that it targeted an Israeli tank as it advanced near the outskirts of the Lebanese village of Maroun early on Saturday. The militant group claimed to have hit the tank directly with a guided missile, resulting in casualties among the Israeli crew members inside the tank.
In a separate incident, Hezbollah reported repelling an overnight assault by Israeli forces near the town of Adaisseh. The group stated that clashes were ongoing following the confrontation.
Source attempts to contact the Israel Defense Forces for comment on these developments have been unsuccessful. The incidents come amid Israel's recent 'limited' ground incursion into Lebanon, which was initiated earlier in the week.
