Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, has claimed responsibility for targeting military headquarters in northern Israel in retaliation for the assassination of its fighters on Tuesday. The group stated that it used guided missiles and offensive drones in the attack.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that Hezbollah launched drones at northern Israel on Wednesday, resulting in at least 7 people being wounded, with two individuals sustaining severe injuries. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment from Israeli ambulance services and IDF medical personnel, who are working to evacuate them to a hospital in northern Israel.
Following the attack on northern Israel, the IDF retaliated by striking a Hezbollah military base near Ayta ash Shab in southern Lebanon. The IDF reported that their fighter jets targeted a Hezbollah military compound in the area where terrorists were believed to be operating.
