Hezbollah's new leader, Naim Qassem, emphasized in his inaugural speech that the Lebanese militant group is not only engaged in a conflict with Israel but is part of a broader global war involving America and Europe as well. Qassem described this as a 'major project' that extends beyond the traditional view of an 'Israeli war on Lebanon and Gaza' to encompass an 'Israeli-American-European-global war.'
He pledged to continue executing the war plan developed in collaboration with the resistance leadership, indicating that Hezbollah is prepared to respond to any further developments accordingly. The group has faced recent setbacks, including the loss of key figures such as its previous leader, Hassan Nasrallah, due to Israeli actions.
Qassem stressed the need for Hezbollah to strengthen its defensive capabilities with a proactive approach, citing Israel's propensity to attack without provocation. He asserted that Hezbollah views its actions as preemptive defense and remains vigilant and prepared for any potential threats.
