Founded in 2009 by CEO Jason Raznick, Detroit-based Benzinga is one of the largest content providers to global brokerages and media houses, including Yahoo, MarketWatch, and Insider.
Large, in-person, networking and educational events create opportunities for investors and project leaders to add to their skill set and foster new relationships and partners.
Benzinga's upcoming Future of Crypto event on Dec. 7 at NYC’s Pier Sixty, will feature “Shark Tank’s” Kevin O’Leary, SkyBridge’s Anthony Scaramucci, the CFTC’s Christy Goldsmith Romero, the eToro US CEO, and the founder of Yuga Labs as well as leaders from the likes of State Street, Vanguard, Circle, and Laguna Labs.
The event will be followed by the Fintech Deal Day & Awards event on Dec. 8, at Pier Sixty in New York City.
Benzinga cordially invites Cathie Wood to attend. No RSVP is required. Just show up, and we'll cover your stay, too!
We know you're busy and haven't been able to respond to our invitations. That's okay! We believe in the legacy you're building and that your presence will be an asset to our events.
Cathie Wood: An Advocate for Disruptive Technology
As the founder of ARK Investment Management LLC ("ARK"), Wood's ARK bio describes her as a "thematic portfolio manager for disruptive innovation, mom, economist, and women's advocate."
Wood founded ARK as a firm that focuses solely on disruptive innovation. As ARK's chief investment officer (CIO) and portfolio manager, she defined ARK's investment interests in cutting-edge technologies, including DNA sequencing, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), energy storage, and blockchain technology.
Wood spent 12 years at AllianceBernstein before founding ARK Investment. Prior to that, she co-founded the hedge fund Alliance Capital from Tupelo Capital Management. She previously worked for 18 years with Jennison Associates LLC.
With Wood's guidance, "ARK believes cryptocurrencies governed by open source networks are enabling a new paradigm for monetary systems and mechanisms to store and transfer value." Wood believes that the value of cryptocurrency and its market share dynamics will be "power law distributed," — meaning just a few cryptocurrencies will capture the lion's share of value.
In 2018, Bloomberg named Wood among the annual Bloomberg 50, a list of people who have defined global business. Fortune Magazine named Wood to its expert roundtable in the Fortune Investors Guide. In 2016, she received the "Women in Finance – Outstanding Contribution Award" from Market Media.
In 2018, Wood launched the Duddy Innovation Institute at Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, which offers educational experiences for young women. She continues to use her Twitter account to highlight blockchain projects and NFT artists.
Wood's dedication to intelligent investment strategy that grows innovation in all parts of technology, including Web3, makes her an ideal addition to the December Benzinga crypto and fintech events.
Tickets for both events are still available! Click on the following links to attend the gatherings and to hear from some of the most extraordinary individuals in both spaces at this December’s Future of Crypto and Fintech Deal Day & Awards events.
