A Hexham charity shop has racked up more than 100 prom dress and ballgowns; after pandemic cancellations left their wearers all dressed up with nowhere to go.
But their owners' losses were Tynedale Hospice and Home 's gain, as demand ramps up due to school proms, awards ceremonies and charity balls starting up again.
And bargain hunters will have to hurry, as the dresses - all priced at under £50, are not expected to hang around.

Tynedale Hospice at Home retail operations manager Ashleigh Trotter reckons the gowns, as well as being available at a fraction of the cost new, are perfect for today's low-cost, ethical, no waste shoppers.
"Between the cost-of-living rise, increased environmental awareness and the social issues faced by our communities, now is not the time for big ticket, high fashion statements," she said.
"We are grateful for the wonderful support of our community who continue to donate high-quality outfits for all occasions.
"Now, with everything opening up again - charity balls, awards ceremonies and with school proms back in the summer - people are on the lookout for great value fashion.
"It's very rewarding to be part of people's happy events while also knowing that the money they spend will be used to help their community. I think ethical, minimal-waste fashion shopping is more on-trend than ever."
The charity provides end of life care in the home, bereavement support and a patient transport service for those with life-limiting conditions.
As well as its shop on Battle Hill, Hexham, and Front Street, Prudhoe, Tynedale Hospice at Home also has a shop on Merton Road, Ponteland, which enjoys a reputation as a place for a designer bargain.
Nearby Darras Hall - with its desirable homes and location just outside the city - has meant it’s been a favourite of footballers and footballers’ wives for a generation.
Tynedale Hospice at Home also has a book shop and a furniture shop in Hexham. Its shops are all supported by a dedicated team of local volunteers.
