A pervert who engaged in vile online fantasy chats about abusing children and was found with hundreds of indecent images of youngsters has been jailed.
James Adams, who has similar previous convictions, was caught after his activity on his Google account came to the attention of police. A search of his laptop revealed 318 of the most serious, category A, pictures and 54 category A videos, 323 category B pictures and 22 videos and 222 category C pictures and 10 videos.
Examination of his Kik messaging account also revealed "fantasy chats" referencing sex acts with children, including rape, violence and reproducing to have children to molest, Newcastle Crown Court heard.

Adams, 70, of Bowman Drive, Hexham, Northumberland, pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing indecent images and has now been jailed for 14 months. The court heard he has a previous conviction for possessing indecent images and extreme pornopgraphy.
Recorder Ian Mullarkey told him: "You engaged in the most appalling conversations with other like-minded paedophiles about what they and you wished to do to children. You had descended into the world of online sexual fantasy and abuse."
Ian Hudson, defending, said: "He is 70 and in bad health. These are vile offences associated with a vile narrative and deviant sexual desires. He wants it to stop. He has shown genuine remorse." The court heard he has sought help from an organisation to stop his offending.
