The long-awaited Yamaha YZF-R2 launched in India at the end of August 2026. Just a few scant weeks later, toward the end of September, Yamaha MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo showed up to a special R2 track event at the Madras International Circuit. (Jack Miller and Alex Rins were also on hand, but of the three MotoGP riders, reportedly only El Diablo put some actual laps in on the newest member of the R family.)
