As you'd expect from a Geoff Keighley showcase, Summer Game Fest 2026 was absolutely packed with trailers for new games for 2026 and beyond. With two hours of trailers to catch up on, I've collated the five that I think are absolute must watches.
There are some massive reveals in this year's Summer Game Fest, from Alien Isolation 2 to Final Fantasy 7 Revelation but these are the best trailers from the showcase that I think you really need to check out.

Trailer: Resident Evil Veronica
Opening the show, Resident Evil Veronica wasn't exactly a surprise announcement thanks to the number of rumors, but the way it teases out the eventual reveal is excellent. We're still in the dark as to who that woman is in the French apartment, but I'm so in. And with the game out in Spring 2027, we haven't got too long to wait to find out.
Trailer: Gen Atlas
It's been a decade since we got a game from the legendary Fumito Ueda - the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian. So as soon as his name was mentioned, you knew the trailer was going to be a doozy. And it really is. A giant robot, stunning score, and emotional moments, I just can't wait to see more.
Trailer: The Blood of Dawnwalker
What was amazing about the Blood of Dawnwalker trailer at Summer Game Fest is that it was basically two in one. Firstly we got a modern day look that represented the future of the series (bearing in mind the first game isn't even out yet), with developer Revel Wolves calling it the Dawnwalker Saga. Then we got another look at Blood of the Dawnwalker, which drops in September. Buy one trailer, get one free!
Trailer: Stellar Blade Bloodreign
Stellar Blade 2 is actually Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, and it took me a while to even put the dots together watching this alluring trailer. Apparently, it's in "the same universe" but it looks nothing like the first game, from the cyberpunk city to the new intriguing protagonist.
Trailer: Final Fantasy 7 Revelation
Technically called the 'gameplay introduction', the show closed out on Final Fantasy 7 Revelation as that one last big thing. And what a thing it was. Everyone's been desperate to see this story close out, and with it launching on all platforms (rather than one at a time as the other two parts have), it's going to be quite the climax.
