The Trump Administration's escalating immigration crackdown could cost older Americans an average of $2,152 in Social Security benefits every year from 2034 onwards, according to a new report that warns the administration's mass-deportation drive could undermine the US retirement system.

The projected reduction amounts to 8.6% of average annual retirement payments, potentially adding another financial shock for millions of Americans already grappling with higher living costs. The warning comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) intensifies enforcement operations across the country, with arrests, controversial encounters, and detention-centre protests highlighting the expanding reach of the administration's campaign.
