Here's Why You Need to Incorporate Several Pairs of Front Split-Hem Pants into Your Winter Wardrobe

Front split-hem pants are necessities this time of year. (Credit: Courtesy of The Frankie Shop)

There are several annoying aspects of winter. Yeah, cold temperatures and snow are pretty pesky. But we're talking about more fashion-related inconveniences. Like the static effect your hair has to deal with when putting on or removing a sweater. Or trying to answer a call without smart gloves. (Which, if we're being honest, aren't always flattering even though they're super useful.) Then there's the annoyance of pairing pants and boots. That's where front split-hem pants come to the rescue.

They're exactly what their name implies. Pants, from trousers to jeans, that offer a split hem front and center. That little opening allows you to slip on your footwear easily and flaunt your shoes all season long. You want the opening in the front as opposed to the sides to make life a whole lot simpler. By the way, zippers totally count. There are a couple of things to bear in mind, however.

Most important is length. You need to both consider your height and the height of the heels of the shoes you plan on wearing with the pants you're considering. Tripping, especially in winter, is so not cool. Material is also a concern. Denim is a winter staple. Also be on the lookout for leather, suede, cotton and even cashmere.

Fortunately, brands are flush with options. Leggings are one of the most popular incarnations. Which is obviously perfect for anyone looking to stay super comfy. You can also find suit pants with a little front ventilation that'll work in any office environment. Then there are all the jeans... We're talking flares, high rise and even skinny silhouettes.

Ready to amp up your winter lineup? Shop the best front split-hem pants below. You'll definitely want to pick up more than one pair. So we made sure to include pants at a variety of price points. That way you can really stock your closet.
