Here’s which apps allow you to bet the Kentucky Derby on mobile

Here’s something you probably know already— the Kentucky Derby is America’s biggest horse race that annually takes place usually on the first Saturday of May. Here’s something you might not know — you can bet on the big event without even being there in person.

That’s right, wagering on the Kentucky Derby is now easier than ever. All you need is your phone, an account and to live in one of 33 states with mobile betting.

There are three U.S. based sportsbooks that provide betting on horse racing: TVG, BetAmerica and TwinSpires—the latter of which is owned and operated by Churchill Downs, where the Kentucky Derby is held.

TVG allows fans to wager online while providing live streaming and race results. BetAmerica also offers live video streaming and options to bet on horse races either online or via mobile devices. Twinspires offers simple online betting.

All three are available in these 23 states — Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Morning line odds and post positions for the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby can be found here.
