The PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup is set to be revealed this week, with the games releasing next Tuesday, June 6. Here's when we'll find out what trio of titles is set for next month's lineup.
Despite our prediction, the PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup wasn't announced at last week's PlayStation Showcase. Instead PlayStation owners will have to wait until the regular time to find out what'll be available for download as a part of the PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup.
Players can still download the PS Plus May 2023 lineup. The games released as a part of PS Plus Extra and Premium will stay on the service for the foreseeable future, but players only have until Tuesday, June 6 to download the PS Plus Essential May 2023 games which consist of medieval multiplayer title Chivalry 2, the Codemasters developed GRID Legends, and procedural mountain bike title Descenders.
PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup reveal time
Every month the PS Plus Essential lineup is released on the first Tuesday of the month after being revealed on the prior Wednesday. Knowing this, the PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup will be revealed on Wednesday, May 31 at 4.30pm BST / 11:30am EDT / 8:30am PDT via a post on the PlayStation Blog. The three games revealed for the lineup will then be available for download on Tuesday, June 6 at 10am BST / 5am EDT / 2am PDT and will be available to redeem until Tuesday, July 4.
PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup predictions
No games have been revealed yet, either officially or through leaks. The June 2022 lineup consisted of God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, while there's not typically consistency with previous years lineups, perhaps Sony will treat us to another big PlayStation Exclusive to set players up for summer. Considering God of War Ragnarok was the big PS5 title last year, maybe Marvel's Spider-Man – which left PS Plus Extra this month – will show up as a part of the PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup to get players ready for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 releasing later this year.
May 2023 also saw the end of the PS Plus Collection, which saw some of the PS4 's best titles available for PS5 owners, so perhaps we could see one of those titles make their way to the regular PS Plus rotation. Titles like Fallout 4 or Final Fantasy 15 Royal Edition could be a part of next month's lineup (which would make sense when Bethesda' s next RPG Starfield and Final Fantasy 16 are both set to release later this year).
