New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft views his Patriots ownership as a family business, and it doesn’t appear he is going to sell the team anytime soon.
Kraft was at a breakfast in Arizona on Friday morning. He touched on several topics, from the hiring of Bill O’Brien, to whether he would sell the team. It doesn’t look like the latter is happening.
He bought the New England Patriots in 1994 for $172 million. Since then, the organization has seen an impressive amount of success, including six Super Bowl championships, and a dynasty that ran from 2001-2019. The owner has seen his purchase become one of the most successful franchises in the history of sports.
It seems as though the organization will stay in the family for the foreseeable future, as reported by 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Alex Barth.
“No. After my family, the New England Patriots is the most important thing in my life,” said Kraft. “It’s not a business, it’s a part of my family…I’m never selling. We’ve set it up so it stays in the family for many decades.”

Although the game of football is changing every day, it appears there will be some constant within the Patriots organization. That may not be a bad thing, after all, as it is hard to argue with the recent success.
