Kansas City Chiefs fans got a little bit of a surprise on Wednesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Boston College WR Zay Flowers would work out with Patrick Mahomes at one of his throwing sessions in Texas. It was a fairly unique situation not often seen during the pre-draft process.

Asked about how the workout with Flowers came about, Chiefs GM Brett Veach suggested that this wasn’t something requested by the team. He credited Zay Flowers, his agent and the gravity of Patrick Mahomes for making this happen.
