The New England Patriots’ practice squad is officially complete after the additions of linebacker Joe Giles-Harris and Yvandy Rigby on Monday.
There are several familiar faces on the squad, including Harris, running back Kevin Harris, wide receiver Jalen Reagor and cornerback Isaiah Bolden. However, it isn’t just a reunion of players who failed to make the initial 53-man roster.
The Patriots also made an effort to load up on some new talent on both sides of the ball. Keep in mind, the practice squad limit is set at 16 players, but the team receives an international exemption with defensive end Jotham Russell.
Here are the 17 players currently on New England’s practice squad:
- LB Joe Giles-Harris
- G Michael Jordan
- TE Mitchell Wilcox
- OLB Ochaun Mathis
- RB Terrell Jennings
- RB Kevin Harris
- CB Isaiah Bolden
- OLB Brevin Allen
- DE Jotham Russell
- WR Jalen Reagor
- WR Matt Landers
- LB Yvandy Rigby
- C Brian Hudson
- S A.J. Thomas
- DT Trysten Hill
- G Liam Fornadel
- G Jerome Carvin
The Patriots being a rebuilding team could lead to an increase in opportunities for the players on the practice squad.
Things aren’t necessarily set in stone on the 53-man roster, and it could be a revolving door of players filling in at different spots with a coaching staff still experimenting to see what works.
