Jeremy Boudinet, Sr. Director of Growth from Ubiquitous said: “The increase in Gen Z searching for items and places on TikTok before making a purchase makes perfect sense, as these younger consumers have been trained in a visual-first mode of engaging with consumption. They want to be able to visualise what they’re getting in a realistic way—and that means seeing it from people like themselves.
“Food is one of the highest searched for items on TikTok with over 422.2million hashtags, meaning it’s no surprise that restaurants and bars are starting to design their venues with ‘TikTok-ability’ and ‘trend factor’ in mind."
