With the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine kicking off on Tuesday, many are wondering just what exactly the NFL’s top quarterbacks will and won’t be doing.
Typically, prospective quarterbacks will engage with the scheduled combine activities as they feel comfortable with their health and what’s best for their draft stock. Some go through all the drills and tests, while others wait for their college’s pro days or for private workouts to show teams what they’re able to do.
With a good number of quarterbacks this spring vying for NFL attention, we have a better idea as to how this week is going to go and what we’ll be able to learn. Here are some of the top prospect’s plans.
Alabama QB Bryce Young
It appears that Young will wait to throw at Alabama’s Pro Day on Wednesday, March 8. He will just do team interviews at the combine, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud will throw at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, while Alabama QB Bryce Young will wait to do so for his pro day, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.
Young is long past his AC joint injury from this season, but he’ll just do interviews in Indy.

Kentucky QB Will Levis
Levis will join Stroud as one of the top quarterbacks throwing at this week’s combine, per Rapoport.
#Kentucky QB Will Levis, another top QB, will throw in Indy at the Scouting Combine, source said. He joins CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson as top passers to do so, while Bryce Young waits for his Pro Day.

Florida QB Anthony Richardson
Like Stroud and Levis, Richardson is going to throw for NFL teams at the combine this week, per Rapoport.
A good combine could help bolster Richardson’s likelihood to make it into the top 10 of this year’s draft.

Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker
As he’s recovering from an ACL tear, Hooker will join Young in not throwing for teams at the combine this week. It’s unknown if he’ll be able to do more at Tennessee’s pro day on Wednesday, March 29.
Hendon Hooker will not throw in Indy during the Scouting Combine, sources tell @theScore.
One of the top-rated QBs in the draft, Hooker is ahead of schedule recovery wise coming off a torn ACL – he had surgery Dec. 13. Hooker earned SEC OPOY with 32 total TDs and just 2 INTs.
