Mexico’s quest for a World Cup will continue in Qatar alongside its newly announced roster of 26 players.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will begin on Nov. 20, with Mexico playing its first game on Nov. 22 against Poland. Manager Gerardo Martino will have his work cut out for him in Group C alongside powerhouse Argentina as Mexico looks to advance past the quarterfinals for the first time in program history.
During Mexico’s last World Cup outing, the team was ousted by Brazil after a 2-0 loss in the round of 16. The team has a long road ahead of them in 2022, as they’ll have to make do without Santiago Gimenez on the roster as well.
