The 2023 NFL draft is almost here.
The NFL announced on Thursday that 17 prospects have been confirmed for attendance in Kansas City, Missouri for the upcoming draft. Alabama and Ohio State are the schools set to have the most players in attendance with three players on-site each. The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with six total prospects confirmed to attend, followed by the Big Ten with five total prospects.
It’s always interesting to see which players are invited to the draft each year. Four of the players set to attend are quarterbacks, which is good news for Kansas City. That means the NFL expects each of those four players to be selected in the first round of the draft. It should push some talented prospects down the board a bit for a team like the Chiefs, who don’t have a need at quarterback.

Notably absent are Kansas City natives — Kansas State DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah and Northwestern DT Adetomiwa Adebawore — both projected as either first- or second-round picks.
