Hemant govt has failed to protect tribal rights: Dreze

RANCHI: Noted economist-activist Jean Dreze on Tuesday said contrary to expectations in the 2019 election, the Hemant Soren government has failed to safeguard the rights of tribals in Jharkhand as instances of atrocities and police excesses besides activities of illegal mining are continuing unchecked.

Opposition BJP, too, has for long been accusing the incumbent regime of poor law and order and illegal mining menace.
