A gyrocopter has crashed as it attempted to alert a surfer to a shark in the water off the coast of New South Wales, Australia.
Surfer Bill Ballard knew that he was surrounded by dolphins but had no idea that the predator was nearby at Wallagoot beach until a gyrocopter started circling with the passengers frantically attempting to warn him.
"The third loop around I could see them pointing," Ballard told local news. "They were pointing at this large black shadow that was close to me."
