A dramatic incident unfolded at Pearland Regional Airport near Houston on Sunday morning when a Robinson R44 helicopter lost control during takeoff, crashing into a parked plane. The helicopter, with only the pilot on board, began to spin in the air shortly after departing at around 8:35 a.m., as reported by local officials.
Video footage captured the helicopter spiraling towards a small plane on the ground, ultimately colliding with it and striking the aircraft multiple times with its propeller before the engine shut down. Quick responders rushed to the scene to assist the pilot, who fortunately emerged unharmed from the crash.
