JAMMU: A heart-warming incident surfaced on social media which shows locals from remote Kishtwar coming forward to help the injured crew after an Army helicopter (ALH Druv) crashed after a "hard landing" in a forested area in the upper reaches of Kishtwar district on Thursday.
The visuals from the incident surfaced on social media and people, even the Indian Army was touched by this act of kindness, and all lauded the unknown persons who came forward to help the injured crew.
Reacting to the incident, Northern Command Indian Army @NorthernComd_IA expressed its gratitude to the Kishtwar local and tweeted: "#IndianArmy extends heartfelt gratitude to the villagers of Machna, #Kishtwar for providing timely invaluable assistance in aiding the air crew, who made precautionary landing on banks of River Marua."
"#IndianArmy cherishes the strong bond with the people of #JammuKashmir," the tweet added.
Northern Command's tweet - "extending gratitude to locals" - has been retweeted for over 569 times while aroud 2455 have liked and over 73.1K have seen it.
