Helen Skelton 'snubs' Gorka Marquez before scoring an impressive 39 in Blackpool

Strictly Come Dancing fans caught the moment that Helen Skelton appeared to 'snub' her dance partner Gorka Marquez in Blackpool.

The pair, who are the second favourites to win the competition, were overheard on the 'secret' mic that gives fans the opportunity to listen in.

As Helen, who was in character, stood with their backing dancers, she shot a look at Gorka and joked: "He wishes!" before they kicked off the dance.

The Blue Peter presenter and Gorka were awarded a staggering 39 out of 40 for their Quickstep to Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson's Valerie.

Even tough critic Craig Revel-Horwood got booed for not giving them a 10 as the rest of the judges did.

Tyler West was the latest star to leave the show after Helen and Gorka made it through Blackpool Week.

"Thank you for being on this crazy adventure with us! Thank you for getting us to Blackpool and beyond," Helen told fans.

Kym Marsh was forced to drop out of this weekends show after she tested positive for Covid-19, but she's not out of the competition all together.

The actress, who is partnered with Graziano Di Prima, won't lose her space in the competition though and is expected to return for the following week.

A Strictly spokesperson said on Tuesday: “Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19.

“As a result, Kym and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”

But fans weren't sure if it was 'fair' that Kym got an automatic pass into the quarter finals.

“Hope Kim’s ok but I don’t think it’s fair they get a free pass to next week either. Especially when the competition is getting tough now,” one wrote.

“Not really fair at this stage on the other contestants,” echoed another.

“Not appearing this week means this is a free pass to the quarter final on the 2nd December.”

Another fan added: “She will get automatic rollover into following week’s show. Wow that makes this weekend crucial in the dance off Strictly get well soon.”

“Not sure how I feel about the free pass to next week…” another chimed.
