Helen Skelton didn't hold back from being honest when she had a cheeky response to how she felt about being back on TV. The presenter returned to the farm this week for Channel 5 show, Springtime on the Farm as the programme made a comeback months after its winter run.
However, her telly comeback after starring on Strictly Come Dancing last year didn't come without its problems as Helen and the team suffered a new series setback. The 39-year-old was preparing to be back on-screen with her co-stars live from Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley with the episode expected to be focused on welcoming some adorable four-legged friends to the farm amid the lambing season.
However, those tuning in to watch the show were baffled to find themselves watching a repeat episode. They quickly took to social media to question what had happened to the new episode and shared their disappointment. But Channel 5 was quick to respond and explained on social media that the live episode had to be pulled due to a technical error.

The episode was instead uploaded to My5 and the series continued as normal on Tuesday (April 11). And after a few days back on the farm, Helen took to Instagram with a video filled with memories from her busy week, including meeting some little chicks, getting close to some foals, and also bringing along her three children to meet some of the animals as her eldest two sons enjoyed the last of their time off school.
The former Blue Peter star was also seen enjoying a hot tub in between filming as she slipped into a leopard print bikini as the spring sun shone. "Fun on the farm ….. Filming. Friends. Family," she started the caption of her post. And it was after that she made her honest remark.
She continued: "@onthefarmc5 continues this week and next. Grateful for good times, good people, and an ability to pay the bills." And fans were again quick to heap praise on the TV and radio star.

It comes after things didn't appear to go well for Helen after she was 'spat on' and appeared mortified while filming for Springtime on the Farm. She appeared alongside Matthew Jackson-Smith, the show's mixed practice vet, and they were joined by an alpaca.
"Our pal @matt_thevet from @yorkshirevetc5 will be down on the farm with us tonight! He'll be giving a baby alpaca a health check," the post read. In the clip, Helen explained they were giving the baby alpaca, known as cria, a health check but this didn't make its mum very happy.
"I think she's fine, we should let her go," Helen insisted as she started to back out of the way of the adult alpaca. She then jumped up and let our a screech as Matt followed her to his feet. Helen explained that the mum spits when she's not happy and added: "That stinks!" Matt replied: "That one really got you, Helen," as the mum-of-three stood still and let out a faux cry.
