Richie Myler has confirmed reports that he is expecting a child with girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, almost one year after ending his marriage to Helen Skelton.
The rugby player, 32, and Skelton, 39, confirmed the end of their eight-year marriage in April, just four months after she gave birth to their third child.
He then struck up a romance with Thirkill, 32, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill, who is one of the richest businessmen in Leeds and is worth an estimated £175 million – shortly after.
A tabloid reported in October that Thirkill was pregnant, but the couple decided to stay tight-lipped.
Now, Myler has shared a picture from what looks like a maternity shoot on Instagram.
Taking to the photo sharing site on Monday, he uploaded a black and white image of them embracing each other lovingly with her blossoming baby bump visible.
He simply captioned his post with a red love heart emoji,
The move comes after Myler deleted his Instagram account earlier this year after previously posting about being trolled with “abusive messages” on his social media posts and temporarily switching them to private.
“I’ve decided to put my profile private from now on. If you are on here to share my photos or stories of me and my life maliciously to other people or waste your time sending me abusive messages please just unfollow me,” he shared in January.
“I’m going to start removing people from my account one by one, so if you are a genuine rugby fan and I accidentally remove you I apologise in advance and will accept you back! Thank you Richie.”
Myler’s account is now public again, but his recent snap with Thirkill has limited comments on it.
Interestly, his post comes a day after Skelton was linked to professional dancer Vito Coppola.
The Countryfile star and the Italian dancer, 30, are said to have grown close in recent months while taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Tour.
