Helen Skelton is reportedly in talks to present Strictly Come Dancing companion show It Takes Two after Rylan Clark stepped down from the role last week.
The TV personality tweeted after he announced the news last week that the time had come for him to "pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me".
And now it seems mum-of-three Helen, 39, would be the "perfect fit" due to her TV hosting work previously and existing relationships with the Strictly team following her time on the show.
The former Blue Peter and current Countryfile presenter, who made it to the final with Gorka Marquez last year on the show, has already been holding talks with the BBC over the role according to reports in the Mirror.
Strictly fans would be delighted to see the 39-year-old return to the screen for the show, having gained a fleet of strong support from viewers when she took to the dancefloor herself.
According to reports, Helen was initially approached to be a stand-in for Janette Manrara during her maternity leave, who is expecting her first child this summer, but is now being considered for a permanent position following Rylan's resignation.
In response to the announcement of his departure, Rylan wrote: "After four fantastic years, it's time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.
"I've had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe [Ball], and I can't thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.
"I've been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me. The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me."
The BBC declined to comment. Helen was contacted for comment.
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two returns to BBC Two and iPlayer later this year.
