Helen Skelton posts cryptic New Year's Eve message after split from ex

Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen Skelton has taken a swipe at her ex Richie Myler in a cryptic New Year's post.

The Countryfile presenter has vowed to “never complain and just crack on” following her marriage split from Leeds Rhinos rugby player Richie Myler.

Updating her followers for the first time this year Helen took to her social media and shared a sweet snap of herself in training, LancsLive reports.

The mum-of-three posted a black and white picture on Instagram where she could be seen wearing black leggings and a cropped hoodie with a huge smile on her face.

She captioned the post: "Hey, 2023, this is me. Never complain, never explain, just crack on." Fans and celebrity friends flooded the comments section with sweet messages.

Former dance partner @Gorka_marquez commented: “Sounds like a day of rehearsals.” One fan @Boleynclaudia wrote: “This is gonna be your year Helen! Good things are coming to you!”

The post comes as Helen was left heartbroken after her split from Richie. The rugby star has now moved on with Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of his club's president Andrew Thirkill and the couple are now expecting their first child together.

Meanwhile, Helen has had plenty to keep her busy as she won over the hearts of the nation as she took part in this series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Since the show has come to an end it has been announced that she will take part in the tour next, however, it has been revealed that she won't dance with Gorka Marquez. Helen will instead be partnered with Kai Widdrington. The professional dancer was paired up with presenter Kaye Adams on the latest series of Strictly.
