Gemma Atkinson is said to be more focused on her own life than worrying about the infamous Strictly Come Dancing curse which surrounds the celebrities.
The former Emmerdale actress is engaged to professional dancer Gorka Marquez who is this year partnered with Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton.
However, Gemma, 37, is hoping to squash the rumours that her fiancé may fall victim to the infamous curse and has instead opted to focus on building a friendship with Helen, 39.
Sources claim that the actress is hoping to welcome Helen into their home due to her grounded nature and wants to be friends with her.
Speaking to Heat magazine, a source said: "A lot of Gemma's mates were wondering if she would be worried about the Strictly curse but she laughs it off and just wants to embrace Helen into the family and support her."
They went on to add: "Gemma doesn't want the endless speculation about the curse, she absolutely trusts Gorka and thinks that Helen is a sweetheart.
"She's being extremely positive and encouraging of the pairing and wants them to go all the way."
Gemma is reportedly "relieved" that Gorka is paired with Helen due to her "genuine" nature.
Following the first episode of Strictly airing, Gemma took to her Instagram page in view of her 1.8 million followers as she gushed over Gorka and Helen.
Sharing a selfie of the pair taken on the dance floor, Gemma penned: " C'mon!!! Go out there and shine Helen! You're gonna have the most amazing time on Strictly! Will be rooting for you both," before tagging her fiancé and Helen.
Fans were quick to flock to the comment section of the post, with one writing: "Loved it Helen and Gorks. You're my favourites."
"We're all routing for you Helen, you have so much to offer the world do not let the past steal your future. They say things happen for a reason & I believe it's because it’s your time to shine," commented another.
Before a third added: "Lovely first dance can’t wait to see their progress over the weeks. Well done @gorka_marquez & @helenskelton."
Meanwhile, another noted that it was "amazing" to see Helen on the show after the star was left heartbroken following the breakdown of her marriage to rugby star Riche Myler.
In April, she announced that she and Richie had separated before it emerged he had found love in a new relationship.
