Helen Skelton has dismissed concerns that she'll find it difficult to fit Strictly into her busy schedule, insisting that viewers often think that she works more than she does.
The Countryfile presenter - who is mum to seven-year-old Ernie, five-year-old Louis and baby Elsie - downplayed her busy life ahead of taking part in the BBC dancing competition.
Speaking to the Mirror and other publications, she said: "People say we're busy because our life is public but most parents who are working parents go to work and go home.
"Whereas when we go to work, people see it. Also I find that a lot of the time now, amazingly, a lot of the people that I work with now are really efficient so you get a lot done in a day. In our world, or in my world in particular, you can film or record three things in a day and it's like you've been at work in a week."
Helen expressed her excitement at joining BBC crew she worked with during her Blue Peter days 14 years ago.
"I feel very grateful that some of the crew are people that I worked with on Blue Peter back in, god, 2008," she said. "Some of the set designers... I know one of the guys on the set team and he said, 'You won't sit in your dressing room, will you? You'll come sit with me.' And I was like, 'Course I will!' In our job, you work alone quite a lot and you're not often in a team.
"It's nice to be in a studio where you're seeing old friends and it's packed!"
She went on to say that she wouldn't be avoiding social media in case there were negative comments as she sees it as a "tool" for work.
"The best thing I ever did was get an alarm clock because I love Instagram and I love Twitter and I use it a lot because I work in sport," she said. "So Twitter for me is great. It's a tool."
