Helen Skelton and Dan Walker issue plea to fans as they prepare to team up for new series

Helen Skelton and Dan Walker have issued a plea to their fans as they get ready to film their new Channel 5 series showcasing the Pennines.

The four-part series, which is called ‘Dan and Helen’s Pennine Adventure’, will see the close friends and presenters explore Britain's first and finest long-distance trail, The Pennine Way.

Together they will meet the people that live and work there as they seek out the hidden gems and secrets of the area. They will discover the diverse communities, industries, and businesses that make up the backbone of Britain, which they both call home.

The pair have since asked fans for their suggestions of places they should visit. In a joint Instagram post the pair wrote: “We start filming ‘Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure’ for @channel5_tv soon & we’d love your suggestions… places you can’t get enough of, places to visit, people to see along the way & little slices of culture & history.

“We’d love to hear from you at @pennineadventure so please post below and email our lovely producer Biddy at bkalinski @wagentertainment.com #PeoplesPennines. Can’t wait for @helenskelton and don’t worry… my teeth aren’t this white in real life.”

Fans rushed to the comment section as @Nickib1343 replied: “Walk up Pendle Hill, then investigate the story of the Pendle Witches by visiting the surrounding villages.”
