Helen Flanagan reportedly ended her engagement to footballer Scott Sinclair after her engagement ring snapped.
The former Coronation Street actress and Scott, 33, appeared to hint at the end of their 13-year-long romance last week when she decided to remove her engagement ring.
However, there had been no confirmation as to why the stars who share three children had decided to go their own ways after over a decade together.
But sources now claim that Helen's decision was affirmed after one rather creepy message she had received.
Speaking to The Sun, a source claims Helen's engagement ring had snapped earlier this year, with the actress instantly taking this as a telltale sign.
They said: "She's into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.
"Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn't get married."
Despite recent claims that Helen is embracing the single life, the actress recently opened up about her struggles as a single mum to three young children.
In a candid Instagram video message, just hours after a night out, the Bury-born star commented: "Charlie's covered me in yoghurt," while looking rather stressed.
She continued: "I was up early this morning. I can never really properly let my hair down as the kids have me up but it was still nice to go out for Halloween.
"I never get that drunk or anything because I get up for the kids."
Helen had chosen to not wear her ring at a string of showbiz events, including the National Television Awards as well as her recent appearance at the Pride of Britain awards, where she coyly kept her left hand hidden in pictures.
On August 9, the actress raised eyebrows about her relationship when she captioned the post to her 1 million followers: "Lovely weekend celebrating my 32nd birthday and a new chapter."
Earlier this month, an insider claimed Scott and Helen "hit a rough patch in the summer" with the mum-of-three reportedly already telling her close friends and family that she is "no longer with Scott".
"Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is no longer with Scott," the source told The Sun.
The Mirror has contacted Helen's representative for comment.
