Helen Flanagan shares honest reality as she suffers supermarket drama after home blunder

Helen Flanagan isn't shy when it comes to sharing the truth about her motherhood journey on social media, and her latest appearance on social media is no different. The former Coronation Street actress took to Instagram after her trip to the supermarket ended in disaster when her son became ill.

Helen, who is a proud mum to daughters Matilda, seven, and four-year-old Delilah and son Charlie, who turns two later this month, was back at her plush home when she propped up her phone and spoke to the camera alongside middle child Delilah alongside her.

"So Charlie's just having his nap and we've just come back from the food shop," she started. "We went to do the food shop and when I was putting everything on the conveyer belt I realised something was leaking. I thought, 'Oh god, it's not the milk is it,' but it was actually fabric conditioner so it wasn't that bad.

"But the lady shut off the area because she didn't want anyone to slip and that was a palaver but then Charlie..." Turning to Delilah she asked: "How much did Charlie throw up?" She explained that to keep him quiet during the food shop, she had been feeding him cheese.

"Have you ever cleaned up Babybel cheese sick?" Helen said almost gagging at the thought. "It was everywhere and I've got a really sensitive stomach. Honestly, I think it's because I've had hyperemesis [while pregnant] with the kids and things just knock me sick really easily. And I was retching, wasn't it?"

It comes after Helen suffered another nightmare day on Wednesday. Posting a selfie to her Instagram Story, in which she could be seen wearing glasses with a biscuit in her mouth while giving a thumbs up to the camera, the Bury-born actress, who played Rosie Webster in Corrie, typed alongside it: "Today locked outside my house because I'm an idiot with my little boy crying because he's got a stomach sickness bug. He's pooed on my coat and on my joggers. Stunning."

And over the weekend, Helen didn't hide her reasons when she shared why she was 'happy' to leave home without her kids over the weekend. The former soap star shared how she 'treated herself' to lunch out with a friend as she returned to her former stomping ground.

In a video posted to her Instagram Story as she updated her loyal social media followers on her weekend antics on Sunday evening, the mum-of-three could be seen posing in the mirror on the landing of her white and black-decorated home as she sported a pair of light pink gym leggings and black top under her extravagant black and pink fur-trimmed coat.

As she showed off her laid-back look, which also saw her don white socks and pale pink trainers with a pair of sunglasses pushed back over her slicked back hair, Helen typed: "Saturday day I went out for lunch with my friend @josdiestrings in Alderley Edge. I miss living round there. I hardly ever go out during the day at weekends without the kids so this was a nice treat for me."

She then shared how she treated herself to a bit more of a luxury journey to meet her friends, choosing to travel with Silk Executive Travel, which is also loved by Gemma Atkinson and her fiance Gorka Marquez. She was seen pouting for the camera with a glass of fizz in hand before sharing a smiling image of herself taken by her driver.

"I made my lovely driver take quite a few pics as the light just wasn't right," Helen admitted alongside a crying laughing emoji before she then confessed: "I was so happy to be leaving the house especially because Charlie did a huge poo explosion just before I left [crying laughing emojis]."
