Hector Bellerin has lauded new Leeds United goalkeeper Joel Robles on Instagram after the Spanish goalkeeper completed his move to Elland Road on Tuesday. Robles has joined the Whites on a one-year deal and becomes Jesse Marsch’s eighth addition of the summer transfer window.
Robles is expected to provide competition for Kristoffer Klaesson, while Illan Meslier resumes his role as number one between the sticks at Elland Road.
Bellerin was one of a number of Robles’ peers to send his best wishes. Robles also received messages from his former Everton teammate Ramiro Funes Mori, Leeds United attacker Rodrigo and Chelsea left wing-back Marcos Alonso.

Robles previously played in England with Wigan Athletic and Everton respectively. He started his career at Atletico Madrid but found himself playing understudy to David de Gea, and later Thibaut Courtois.
The 32-year-old won the FA Cup in 2013 during his loan spell with Wigan and made 65 appearances across all competitions during his five seasons at Goodison Park.
He has spent the last four seasons at Betis – winning the Copa del Rey last season. However, following the expiration of his contract with Betis, Robles has decided to return to England.
