Heavy rain pounds Mysuru, Malnad regions for 2nd day

MYSURU/MANGALURU: Heavy pre-monsoon rain continued to lash Mysuru, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Kodagu districts on Thursday, causing widespread damage. On Thursday, vehicular movement was disrupted on the Mysuru- Bengaluru road in Mandya as flood waters gushed on to the national highway.

Anganwadis and schools in Mysuru, Shivamogga, Mandya and Dakshina Kannada district declared a holiday on Thursday as kids were not able to reach school. Shivamogga has a declared holiday on Friday too.
