Heavy police presence sparked after reports of 'fight inside Arndale centre'

A heavy police presence was sparked after reports of a 'fight inside the Arndale centre' earlier this evening.

Several police cars and vans were spotted stationed near the shopping centre on Market Street in Manchester city centre at around 7.30pm. Video footage taken inside the Arndale showed police officers and security workers responding to an incident inside.

People could be heard screaming in one clip. Onlookers appeared to gather around the scene of the incident. Eyewitness reported that a 'big fight broke out' though police have not yet confirmed this.
