Washington's very own Heather Mills is set to host a special event in Sunderland next month, where she will discuss her illustrious life and route to becoming a highly successful businesswoman.
The 55-year-old entrepreneur, philanthropist, activist and world-record holding athlete will speak openly at Sunderland Business Festival next month, hoping to inspire others to follow suit in her prestigious endeavours.
The event itself will take place on Thursday, October 13 at 17Nineteen's Holy Trinity Church in Hendon - on the outskirts of the city centre.
Her talk is part of Sunderland's brilliant Business Festival which takes place annually, with the chat dubbed a 'must see' by organisers early doors, from 11am until noon. Parking is available outside of the venue itself, with a number of public transport links running nearby.
Refreshments will also be available for purchase within the establishment during the talk-in.
As well as Heather's time to shine and influence others positively, a number of further exciting events are also taking place as part of Sunderland's Business festival between October 12 and October 14. An all day 'Protect you and your business from Cyber Crime' workshop is set to take place at Sunderland's Local History Library, as well as an opportunistic recruitment fair at the Stadium of Light - both on the initial day of proceedings.
On Friday, October 14, curios parties can enjoy a tour of Nissan's award-winning manufacturing plant across Trim and Chassis Line 1 - where the Nissan Qashqai and Leaf are fitted wit major components.
A panel discussion with entrepreneurial business leaders at the Fire Station Auditorium is also good to go, with the likes of Alice Rowen, Kim Cattin, Cassie Moyse and Natasha McDonough all present to share advice and insider secrets to success.
Heather Mills initially found success as a model in the late 1980s - but faced severe setbacks in 1993 when she suffered the amputation of her left leg after being knocked down by a motorcycle. She adopted veganism to help aid her recovery which subsequently lead to her investing in and growing the VBites Food business.
VBites is now one of the globes most renowned and largest manufacturers of meat-free, fish-free, and dairy-free plant products - at the time of writing servicing 24 countries around the world. She also lated created a vegan algal oil business, V-Omega3, vegan makeup business, B@One, and invested in numerous other plant-based startups as part of her VBites Ventures portfolio.
