KOLKATA: The rising temperature in the city is taking its toll on the strays. A stray dog reportedly died of heatstroke on Saturday and many others are reeling under the effects of the heat wave and suffering from dehydration, vets said.
An adult female dog at Tollygunge’s Pallysree fell ill and started convulsing on Saturday. By the time it was taken to a vet, it had died. Locals said it had been otherwise healthy and was seen feeding her two pups even on Friday.
