Inland communities in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties will stay under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, after the National Weather Service extended an alert that was first set to end Sunday evening. Forecast temperatures range from around 90 near the coast to 103 inland, according to the updated National Weather Service alert published by KEYT.
The advisory, which began at 10 a.m. Saturday, covers the San Luis Obispo County Inland Central Coast, Interior Valleys and Mountains, the Santa Barbara County Inland Central Coast, the Santa Lucia Mountains, the Santa Ynez Valley and the Southern Salinas Valley.
