Heartwarming moment Princess Kate surprises fans at train station

A heartwarming video shows Princess Kate surprising fans at a train station. The Princess of Wales spent the day in Bath on Tuesday as part of a Dame Kelly Holmes Trust event.

She took on the double Olympic champion at a game of bean-bag noughts and crosses – but came out second best. During her visit to the region, Kate was seen walking along the platform at Bath Spa Station, and took time to greet fans waiting for a train home.

In the clip, which has been shared on Twitter, Kate, wearing a yellow jacket, walks along the platform, accompanied by several people from her team. But she acknowledged a group of school children who happened to be waiting for a train.

While walking, Kate said "Hi! Where are you going?" to the children. They replied "Warminster" to which Kate then said: "Have a magical trip, what are you learning about?"

Someone replied: "Trains and orienteering" before Kate waved again to her fans before walking on. Sharing the heartwarming clip, @platform_rail tweeted: "Wow - a right royal surprise for students waiting for a train home with us today.

"HRH The Princess of Wales taking time to say hello & ask the children about their trip was a better end to the day than we could ever have planned!" The Princess of Wales was praised for stopping and speaking to the children.

One person tweeted: "How nice is that" while another said: "That's our Princess." Another tweeted: "She’s just so warm genuine and wonderfully down to earth. A true fairytale princess. And she’s absolutely glowingly beautiful. A true credit to our nation and future of the monarchy."

The princess told Bristol pupils that becoming a member of the royal family was something she never expected – but then she met and “fell in love” with Prince William. When the princess sat down for a chat with a group of schoolgirls from St Katherine’s School in Bristol, supported by the charity, she opened up the floor to questions about herself.

Asked if she wanted to be a “royal” by a pupil, the princess replied it was something she had not expected but she “fell in love” with William. Commenting about the pupils’ chat with the princess today, Dame Kelly said she posed a question about Kate’s three children asking if she saw different “traits” in them, and the royal replied “Oh yes, definitely”.
