Heartstopper star Kit Connor tipped for Cyclops in new X-Men film

The first X-Men film in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) history appears to be causing a casting frenzy in Hollywood as actors are reportedly meeting with the studio to lobby for roles.
Director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige are believed to be meeting with a number of contenders for each role, and according to Deadline , Heartstopper ’s Kit Connor is the top choice to play Cyclops , a role previously played by James Marsden.
Samara Weaving, star of Ready or Not , is rumoured to be cast as Emma Frost, a character previously seen in X-Men: First Class .
This new film will introduce a fresh generation of actors for the mutant characters, separate from former X-Men cast members who are set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday .
Plans to fold the X-Men into the MCU have been in the works ever since 21st Century Fox merged with Disney in 2019.
