HEARTS have won their legal fight with Dundee United over the signing of Lewis Neilson.
Reports have emerged to say that the Tynecastle outfit have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Hearts signed the teenage defender in the summer in what they claimed to be a free transfer.
However, United countered that, insisting they were due compensation.
They stated their reasons for being due compensation were down to them developing the player in their academy.
The SPFL were forced to step in, with the matter needing to be legally checked out in order for a resolution to be found.
United claimed they had offered the 19-year-old a new deal within the appropriate timeframe in order for them to be due compensation as part of the move.
Hearts then argued that this was not the case and in fact United had failed to protect their rights to a development fee.
Football Scotland now say that while public confirmation has yet to be announced, a ruling in favour of Hearts has been made.
