John Beaton has been confirmed as the man in charge of the Scottish Cup semi-final between Hearts and Hibs.
The ref will officiate the Hibees for the first time since their defeat to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup final last year.
The Hoops came from behind to win 2-1 after Paul Hanlon's header gave the Easter Road club the lead.
A Kyogo Furuhashi double turned things around to land Ange Postecoglou his first trophy in Scottish football.
Beaton’s performance came under fire from Hibs defender Paul McGinn, who described it “inept."
McGinn wasn't pleased with the ref’s decision to award Celtic what he saw as a soft free-kick on the touchline, before allowing them to take it quickly as Hibs remonstrated.
Kyogo took full advantage, darting in behind the defence to lob Matt Macey for the winner.
“The first one is a bit simple. Look, he [Kyogo] is sharp, he is a killer, he was the difference-maker," said McGinn. "It’s great movement but, they have had some great moves where they cut you open and we have defended really well. But it’s just a simple ball over the top and he scores at the near post.
“The second one we are really annoyed about. It’s not a foul and then the fourth official is holding the board. I think Jamie Murphy could stand over the ball, as you do, but he steps away from it, to assume ‘sub’.
“No control over the situation, (Beaton) just lets it happen, and the goal goes in. I don’t know if you see me running to him straight away and get myself booked. But it’s just inept.”
Now Beaton will take charge at Hampden once again for the mammoth clash against Hearts.
McGinn is unlikely to feature however, having missed the last eight games through injury.
Beaton will be assisted by David McGeachie and Graeme Stewart. Alan Muir is fourth official.
