Hearts transfer target Connor Ronan is 'set to be handed a chance' at Wolves as he bids to impress Bruno Lage at their warm-weather pre-season camp.

Robbie Neilson is in the market for recruits as he gets set to juggle domestic and European matters this upcoming campaign. The Tynecastle club finished third in the Premiership table behind Celtic and Rangers last term and also reached the Scottish Cup Final. The reward for a fine season is a spot in the Europa League play-off round and the guarantee of group stage football. Should they lose out in Europe's second tier competition they will drop into the Europa Conference League guaranteeing a minimum of eight games on the big stage.

The Jambos have already snapped up Alan Forrest, Lewis Neilson, Kye Rowles, Alex Cochrane and Jorge Grant this summer with attacking options now the priority.
Ronan was another name in the frame with top flight rivals Aberdeen also keen.
Jim Goodwin - now in charge at Pittodrie - signed the midfielder for St Mirren on loan and is keen on a reunion after a hugely successful stint in Paisley.
That form also captured the eye of Hearts but the chance to impress at his current club side could potentially scupper a move back north of the border in a blow to the duo.
