Hearts have confirmed plans to develop the Main Stand second floor at Tynecastle are well underway with exciting new features to come.
The capital club are applying for planning permission to create a 22-room boutique hotel within the ground as well as additional hospitality and conference room space. They believe such a development would bring a unique chance to host more events at their home ground and also appeal to millions of tourists world wide who visit Edinburgh.
The news comes ahead of Robbie Neilson's men playing their second Europa Conference League match in their group with an away clash against bottom seeds RFS. The Jambos kicked off their campaign with a 4-0 defeat last week against Istanbul Basaksehir while the Latvian outfit picked up a stunning 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in Florence.

The duo go head to head in Riga tonight as Hearts bid to get up and running in the group and get back to winning ways after a poor run of form that has resulted in six defeats in the last seven matches.
A club statement on the exciting project read: "Heart of Midlothian can confirm that plans are well underway for the exciting development of the Main Stand second floor at Tynecastle Park.
"The club is applying for planning permission for the development of a 22-room boutique hotel, additional hospitality lounges and conference & event space within the second floor.
"The hotel rooms and additional conference & events space will give us a unique opportunity to host more events at Tynecastle and also appeal to the millions of visitors that Edinburgh attracts each year as the UK’s second most visited city.
"The club has taken time to consider all available options relating to the second floor and we believe this project will provide the best platform to support our ambitious growth plans both on and off the pitch.
"We will update supporters on timescales as the planning process stage progresses."
