Hamilton Accies have sealed their fourth signing of the January transfer window after securing a deal for Connor Smith.
The Hearts striker, who is the brother of former Accies striker and current Airdrieonians frontman Callum, joins on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is in the squad for today's Championship clash at Partick Thistle but starts on the bench, as John Rankin's Accies look for a precious three points to boost their survival bid at the bottom of the table.
On Thursday Rankin revealed he was close to adding a striker but couldn't say who, but he did provide his thoughts on what Smith would bring.
He said: "I know the player very well. He's very creative, a good attacking option.
"He's got that wee bit of confidence and a wee bit of arrogance on the pitch as well but at the same time I think he will bring a real creative threat for us in the final third, which is something we've lacked as well.
"He will definitely improve us."
